After the guitar body is completed, I install the neck and tweak the pocket depth to mate with it. If this junction is not done correctly, the guitar will never set up well. I adjust the neck pocket depth +/- 0.020” so that the neck relief, string and bridge heights are all ideal. Now I can start to swap out pickguard assemblies to optimize the tone of the final build. All of our guitars are fully assembled and tested as raw wood, disassembled and sent out for nitro finishing, reassembled and tested again before they are put up for sale.

We are always looking for new tonewoods to check out. To describe the process that we use to manufacture our guitar bodies we will use a piece of Catalpa wood that we wanted to have a closer look at as a potential new tonewood.
